Facial Implants

Facial implants can have a truly dramatic effect on your appearance, giving you fuller lips, a nicer nose and more attractive chin and cheek profiles.  Facial implants can also be used to alter the bridge of your nose, and are often a less invasive alternative to rhinoplasty. Implants can be temporary, in the form of RestylaneJuvederm or a hylaronic acid, or a more permanent option in the form of Gortex or your own bone cartlidge.

The most popular implants are cheek and chin implants which are made of silicon or Gortex and are a permanent implant.

Who is the procedure suitable for?

Facial implants are suitable for people undergoing facial surgery, such as a face lift or rhinoplasty who require more symmetry to the face which can sometimes be achieved with chin and cheek implants.  An alternative to a silicone or Gortex implant is fat transfer, using the client's own fat.

What can I expect?

Facial implants can sometimes be performed under a local anaesthetic. However, if they are performed with other surgical procedures such as a rhinoplasty or face lift the procedure will be undertaken under a general anaesthetic.

Success Rate

The implants can last for up to ten years, and can be highly satisfactory if the client is looking for facial symmetry or enhancement of their facial features.
