Mesotherapy

The science bit

What Is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy involves making multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients including amino acids (peptides) into the fat under your skin. The procedure involves injecting a special liquid solution beneath the skin to disintegrate fat cells, effectively melting the body fat away.

This proven technique was developed in 1952 and remains popular for reducing cellulite and small areas of fat, for fluid retention and lymphatic drainage. It works by improving the circulation and rejuvenating the skin, and it is suitable for anyone aged over 18.

About Nanopeptide Technology

Nanopeptide Technology is a popular form of Mesotherapy involving injecting small amounts of a solution into the skin. It can be used to rejuvenate the skin, stimulate hair growth, reduce brown age spots, and reduce fat and cellulite.

Who Is Mesotherapy Treatment Suitable For?

This treatment is suitable for men and women over 18 who wants to:

  • Improve the texture and appearance of their facial skin without using chemicals
  • Remove age spots on the face and hands
  • Remove small pockets of fat
  • Remove cellulite
  • Treat thinning hair

What Can I Expect from Mesotherapy?

We inject a mixture of small amounts of vitamins, homeopathic ingredients, amino acids and peptides under the skin. We choose the liquid solution for the relevant condition we’re treating, and the body naturally removes the dissolved fat via the kidneys and bowel.

In the case of fat reduction and cellulite, you might need twice-weekly treatments for up to six weeks for optimum results. You can expect mild discomfort while the treatment is taking place. The results are long-lasting as long as you follow a healthy diet and exercise properly. Otherwise, you could see some cellulite returning.

In the case of fat reduction, you might need annual top-ups.

If we’re using Nanopeptides to stimulate hair growth, you will need weekly treatments for approximately seven weeks.

How Long Does Mesotherapy Treatment Take?

A course of treatment lasts for up to six weeks and sometimes involves 1-2 visits per week, depending on the condition we are treating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is There Any Discomfort?
You might feel mild discomfort, or none at all when we use a special Mesotherapy pen to administer the solution.
What Are the Side Effects of Mesotherapy?
There may be a small amount of swelling, tenderness, and redness. Occasionally, a bruise may appear and last for up to 5 days.
Is Any Recovery Time Necessary?
We advise you don’t use saunas, hot baths or moisturising cream in the area for 72 hours after the procedure. You will need to avoid exposure to the sun without sun protection, until the side effects subside.
How Long Do the Effects Last?
Normally Mesotherapy needs to be completed as a 6-12 week course for cellulite, thinning hair and facial brightening, depending on your unique condition. However with age spots, once you complete your initial course, it is very important to use sun protection to avoid more age spots developing.
Are There Any Alternatives to Mesotherapy?
This is a very natural treatment. The alternatives are Cavitation (Ultrasound), SlimFit Laser Med (Fat Reduction and Cellulite), PRP for Hair Loss (Platelet Rich Plasma), plus Skin Resurfacing and Fractora for age spots and facial skin brightening.
How Will I Feel?
Excess fat and cellulite can make you feel less than your best, feeling unwilling to wear clothing that reveals it to the world. Once it’s gone and you feel sleeker, younger and less lumpy, you’ll enjoy dressing up again – and summer beach holidays will be fun again!
