DESIRIAL® is a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment that’s used to restore hydration, elasticity, tonicity and sensitivity to the vulvo-vaginal area.
At various points in a woman’s life, including after childbirth and during menopause, tissues in the vagina start to change. This can lead to vaginal dryness and associated symptoms such as discomfort and chronic irritation, and the outer lips of the vulva, called the labia majora, can lose their youthfulness and volume.
DESIRIAL® helps to address these concerns and counteract these symptoms, reducing dryness, soothing irritation and improving the quality of the tissue in the area.
DESIRIAL® comes in the form of an injectable hydrogel. It contains hyaluronic acid – a molecule naturally found in the human body that has the capacity to retain up to 1000 times its weight in water.
When injected, the hyaluronic acid gel directly enters the vulvo-vaginal tissues and helps to rehydrate the area. The product injected indirectly stimulates the cells and boosts collagen and elastin production, which helps to improve the overall quality of the tissues.
At A New You, we use two products for vaginal rejuvenation: DESIRIAL® and DESIRIAL® Plus. The products are used to treat different symptoms and concerns.
DESIRIAL® is used to limit dryness, ease discomfort and improve tissue quality in the vulvo-vaginal area, while DESIRIAL® Plus is designed to remodel the labia majora after experiencing volume loss, wrinkling, laxity and deflation. This helps to address aesthetic concerns, but it also improves protection of the inner lips of the vulva, called the labia minora.
During treatment, a local anaesthetic is applied to reduce any discomfort. DESIRIAL® is then injected into the area to hydrate and/or plump the tissues. One session lasts around 20-40 minutes.
The results of DESIRIAL® are clinically proven, and 94% of women have seen an improvement or significant improvement to their quality of life up to six months after treatment.
