What is Milia?
Milia (otherwise know as milk spots) are frequently found around the eyes, cheeks, nose and forehead. These small white bumps form as a result of dead skin cells becoming trapped under the skin’s surface.
Infant milia will usually clear up within a few weeks. In older children and adults, it typically goes away within a few months. They tend to disappear naturally over time. However in persistent cases, treatment may be suggested.
Milia are often confused with a condition called Epstein pearls, which involves the appearance of harmless white-yellow cysts on a newborn’s gums and mouth. Milia are also often inaccurately referred to as “baby acne.”
Our Most Popular Treatment For Milia
Veinwave™ is a medically-acclaimed technology that provides safe removal of facial red veins, skin tags and milia.*
The technology is based on a process called ‘thermocoagulation’ – which essentially cuts off the blood supply to the tag, eventually causes it to drop off naturally.*
