Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift
What Is A Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift?
A Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift, is a unique treatment which tackles the prominent signs of ageing. The revolutionary treatment offers patients a redefined face, restored volume and reduced wrinkles – in only a 30-minute treatment.
As we age, our skin’s collagen and elastin depletes, resulting in a looser facial tone, often characterised by hollow looking cheeks and a heaviness above the jaw line.* With a PDO thread technique we’re able to lift and tighten sagging skin tissues by inducing collagen production into the problem area. The treatment involves the implantation of fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads into the skin using small needles. These threads remain implanted in the skin causing micro-injuries that stimulate collagen synthesis and tissue contraction.
The end product results in a more shapely and youthful-looking appearance.* The threads contain polylactic acid, which compliments the lift by boosting the skin’s natural collagen.* Treatment impressively lasts, on average, up to 18 months.
What Can I Expect?
Thread lifts are ideal for individuals aged between 30 and 60 years old who are looking for a non-invasive alternative to a traditional face lift.*
The procedure can be performed in approximately one hour, under local anaesthetic.* Your physician will insert the thread under the skin to a depth of about three to five millimetres. It does not require an incision, as a fine needle is used. The thread is held in place with absorbable cones. Your physician will then shape it to achieve the desired lift.* One or more threads may be necessary depending on the area to be treated.
Downtime is considered to be minimal. However, you may experience some very slight bruising or swelling in the days following your procedure.* The results can last up to two years and can be repeated to maintain the desired effect.
