As we age, our hands develop more prominent veins. Because there’s less tissue, our hands can look a lot older than the rest of us, which can leave you feeling self-conscious. The hands are an often-neglected area but we can restore the lost tissue and disguise unsightly veins. We do it by using a product that stimulates your own natural collagen to produce a smooth, more plumped look to the hands.
We apply a numbing cream to your hands prior to treatment, then introduce injections of the chosen collagen stimulator into the hand, avoiding any protruding veins. Immediately after the treatment the area will be swollen and tender, but this usually subsides within a few days.
You will usually need more than one treatment, spread anything from 2-4 weeks apart. You will also need a top-up, usually after anything from 12-18 months, depending on which type of stimulator we use.
