Some of our clients come to us identifying as non-binary or gender neutral, which means they don’t identify as either male or female. If that’s you and your gender is non-specific, we are delighted to offer you a range of effective non-surgical Masculinisation and feminisation treatments to adjust your facial features and give you the look you want.
If you identify as transgender and want to talk about gender reassignment with someone sympathetic, experienced and knowledgeable, we will be delighted to talk things through with you and help you come to a decision that suits your own unique circumstances.
Your first step is to visit us for a friendly, highly detailed consultation and examination. We will take a look at which features you want to alter and prioritise. Then we’ll carefully work out a bespoke plan specific to your requirements. The work will often involve strategically placing fillers to create a more masculine or feminine look in the temples, nose, cheeks, chin and jawline. It often takes 6-9 months to achieve the desired outcome.
Your treatment can also involve combining several non-surgical treatments, for example Botox, fat dissolving injections, skin texture resurfacing treatments plus hair removal. It can take another six months to get the results you expect from this step.
It may be necessary to have one or more surgical procedures to finalise your look. We can often carry out some of this work at the start of your journey, and can carry out more surgical procedures after the first two steps above. It depends entirely on your unique circumstances.
We will spend a considerable amount of time discussing the features you wish to alter, so we get a crystal clear picture of your aims. We’ll take before and after photographs at each stage, which we’ll review together at every stage of your non-surgical or surgical treatment plan.
Be prepared – transgender work isn’t a quick fix. It can take as long as two years to finalise the treatments and re-contour your facial features fully. This means the gender reassignment experience is much more of a journey than a one-off experience, but you can relax and enjoy it – we’ll be with you all the way.
Everyone’s facial features are different, but we naturally associate certain traits with femininity. Female faces usually have softer, more delicate features, for example. If your desired look is a more feminine appearance, we can treat your face and bone structure individually with a combination of treatments to give you a softer, slightly fuller face and lips. Feminising the nose involves making it smaller with a slight curve from the forehead. We can make your chin smaller, or create the illusion that it’s smaller with dermal fillers like Juvederm around the jawline and the chin itself. Our highly experienced practitioners are used to creating feminised features, and the results can be amazing.
Masculinisation involves creating a stronger chin, which we achieve with long-lasting dermal fillers or collagen stimulators like Ellanse. Most masculine noses are larger and have a stronger bridge, and the nostrils are usually wider too. We can achieve all this with non-surgical treatments, but in some cases – such as the nose – we may recommend a surgical treatment. If so we will use some of your own cartilage to build up the bridge of your nose. We achieve a strong jawline by strategically placing fillers at the square edge of the jaw, below the ear. And beneath the cheekbones we can create a more chiselled look, placing filler to increase the width of the face.
We will advise you during your first consultation about what we can achieve, based on your own underlying bone structure and features. As your new look progresses we will constantly review everything, including the many photos we take along the way, to make sure the transformation you desire is on track.
