Plasma pen treatment is a non-surgical method of dealing with hooded eyelids, fine lines and scars. We also use it to remove skin lesions like skin tags and blemishes.
In the past the only method to treat the eyelids effectively was surgical blepharoplasty, a cosmetic surgery method designed to remove excess skin or fat from the eyelids to improve hooded or drooping eyelids and eye bags. This revolutionary technology tightens excess skin via a process called sublimation, creating an electric arc of plasma that heats the skin to encourage more collagen to form locally. There’s no cutting, and no need to remove excess skin or fat.
If you are unhappy with the skin around your eyes, have baggy lower eyelids or droopy upper eyelid skin and you don’t want to have surgery, plasma pen treatment could be perfect for you.
Men and women can have this procedure. It isn’t suitable for people with excessive loose skin because it only treats moderate eyelid hooding.
A typical session will last 30 to 45 minutes, although you need to turn up an hour before your procedure so we can numb the area to be treated with a topical numbing cream.
You might get some swelling and mild discomfort in the treated area. Micro scabs will clear within 7 days. In the meantime you can cover them up with liquid foundation.
Most people see noticeable results after the first treatment, although some require more than one treatment. It depends on the results you expect, somethinhg we’ll discuss in detail with you beforehand.
